Explore careers without locking your future too early
This guide helps students and parents investigate options — subjects, degrees, example roles, and skills — using language like explore, compare, and build evidence. It does not prescribe a single “right” career from a test score or personality label.
Safety rule: Job Resiliens will not tell you that a personality type, one subject mark, or one aptitude label means you “should become” a specific profession. Requirements also differ by board and country — always check official sources for your geography.
A practical exploration loop
- Map interests and school strengths List subjects and activities you enjoy enough to practise. Treat this as a shortlist to investigate, not a verdict.
- Check board/subject rules for your school For CBSE-affiliated schools in India, start from the official CBSE Academic site. Other boards publish their own combinations — do not assume CBSE rules apply everywhere.
- Compare degree pathways See how common undergraduate degrees connect to roles and AI exposure on our degree career paths (BCom, BBA, BTech, and more).
- Look at real role examples Browse Career Universe and researched occupation pages to understand tasks and skills — including how AI may change them.
- Build evidence with small projects Short projects, clubs, contests, or supervised freelance-style practice beat vague “passion” claims. Later, college students can use JR Student Journeys and skill-matched projects inside the product.
- Discuss with parents and educators Bring comparisons (two or three paths), not a single locked decision.
